I always wanted to get my son the Razor Dirt Quad Electric Four-Wheeled Off-Road Vehicle for sometime now.

First, this is for those certain individuals out there who have given bad reviews about the Quad because the charge does not last five minutes or less. When I bought the Quad for my son and certainly like many people, I was rather disappointed with the quads longevity. Just less than five minutes after he was playing with it, my son came back with it for a charge (and I am thinking this is still brand new!). The charging speed was amazing; unlike the recommended by the manufacturer, it would change from red to green in just a few minutes. I thought it was good since during play the battery life is just a few minutes. Since we had purchase a Razor go-kart sometime back both had the same charger, I swapped the two and the go-kart`s charger was just the same.

Not wanting to give up I took the problem to Razor. The product support told me that it is a common problem for it not to last long when in use. This happens when the Quad is sitting around in a warehouse for months and at times years with the battery connected. Therefore, if the battery goes for a long period connected to the ATV and never on charge, the battery will eventually go bad. To avoid this, the battery should stay on charge even when not in use for a longtime. They where very right and helpful, they sent me a new battery free of charge. This was after I produced proof of purchase and that I was still in the ninety-day warranty period.

When I got the new battery, immediately I replaced the old with the new one. Now my son really had a brand new Quad to enjoy for a longer period of play before the next charge. We now took it for some rough testing and see if it lives up to the name,” Off-Road Vehicle”. It is truly a strong Quad; my son drove it up and down hills and rugged terrain. The Quad can surely last more than half an hour even subjected to such use, and I enjoyed watching my son have the time of his life.

Actually, the Razor Dirt Quad Electric Four-Wheeled Off-Road Vehicle is not an expensive piece of junk. Just remember to get a new battery from Razor if it gives you problems during your warranty period and your son will enjoy it for a longer period.
